Welcome

This is the official site of Michele Jacot (that's me at the top of the page), and I'm a Toronto-based musician and teacher. Thanks for stopping by — there's always something new to see here, so take a look around and be sure to keep in touch.

A huge thank you to all Commminglers!!!

I'm still tallying up the numbers, but it looks like this year will be the most successful fundraising year ever!  I will report back with the final amount as soon as I have it. Thanks to all for coming out for a good cause and to support live music.  Hooray!

As for what I've been up to since the show?  Recovery!  I'm trying to remember how to unwind a bit, but it's challenging so far...I sort of forget how!  After recovering for a while, I'll be going into a bit of a creative retreat.  I've got a bunch of new ideas up my sleeve, so stay tuned...

Also, please check back soon for photos of this year's show as well as a few other new additions to the site (think video)...

And in the meantime, please continue to get out there, enjoy this highly anticipated summer, and support live music!!

Eclectically  yours,

Michele

The other exciting thing is this excerpt from a recording of the Dimanche Matin Sax Quartet playing "When I'm 64". You can listen to it right here by clicking on the player above. Or if the embedded player isn't showing up, download the mp3 here. (With special thanks to recording engineer Art Mullin.)

And speaking of recordings, Michele and friends have been busy in the recording studio over the past while, so please check back for more info coming soon...
